Objective

The student can plan, implement and assess the health follow-up of people of working age as well as the working community and support the maintaining of work ability and use of resource promoting working methods
The student can account for the principles of a good interprofessional occupational health care
The student can assess what effect the workplace, working community, and environment have on the health
The student can, on the individual and community level, plan, implement and assess the follow-up of the health and functional ability of the elderly
The student knows how to act in interprofessional working groups and networks as well as is able to implement health and nursing care in a home environment

The service system within occupational health care, various partners, the healthcare chain
Legislation in occupational health and occupational health and safety
Principles for good occupational health practice and knowledge of working life
Actions plans, workplace mapping and follow-up of the work community
Workers' health surveys, maintenance of work and functional ability, follow-up of the working person during different stages of working life, assessment of work ability
Resources, supporting and burdensome factors in the work community and work environment
Work-related illnesses and occupational diseases
Ergonomics
Resource promoting methods in working life, at various workplaces and communities, and follow-up of well-being at work together with various stakeholders (multi-professional health care work)
Occupational health-related health care
Health care for the unemployed

Home Health Care, Home Care, Home Nursing Care
The service system (multi-professional healthcare work) and care chain
Health surveys for the elderly, health care and service plans
Resource promoting working methods (receptions, home visits for preventive purposes and to support functional ability and health)
Health counseling (accident prevention, exercise, nutrition, sexuality, sleep and advice in relation to long-term illnesses)

Qualifications

It is recommended that students participate in courses during semesters 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and have completed at least 180 credits.
