Objective
• The students have basic insights into epistemology and the philosophy of science
• The students understand the research process and how the different parts coherent with each other
• The students can put the theoretical research process into practice when writing the thesis and when doing projects
• The students understand and are able to express themselves using qualitative and quantitative approaches and scientific interests

- basic scientific theory and methodological concepts
- general logical rules and methodological principles and methods for data collection and analysis
- planning, implementation and evaluation of research results

The first opportunity to take the examination is held during the last lecture scheduled in the course. No application is required for the first opportunity. Second and third opportunities are held during the two subsequent general dates for retaking examinations, unless otherwise agreed with the examiner.
