The student:
- can identify the child's strengths and needs for support and can work to support the child's resources
- is prepared to work in interprofessional networks and can, in collaboration with the child and the family, plan, implement and evaluate the support
- can, based on the child's needs, plan and adapt the Early Childhood Education and Care environment and the activities in order to provide the child with special needs a safe growing and learning environment
- can promote the child's skills in communication, interaction skills and self-regulation
- can promote the child's inclusion and has a resource-enhancing and sensitive approach

- general, intensified and special support in Early Childhood Education and Care
- children with communicative, socio-emotional, motor and cognitive challenges
- problem-creating behavior and attention disorders
- aggression among children and the steps of aggression
- materials to support the child's social skills and interaction and emotional skills
- the importance and structural arrangements of environmental and situational factors
- collaboration with guardians and actors within social and health care
