- can identify risk factors in connection with pregnancy and has the ability to prevent and intervene early
- has knowledge about complications during pregnancy
- can identify mothers and prospective parents in need of extra support and follow-up
- has knowledge of models and networks that support the woman and the family
- mastered follow-up, care referral, supervision and counseling of the woman and the family during pregnancy and childhood
- mastered the care and follow-up of the new mother and the newborn child
- has knowledge of couple relationships, parenting and early interaction
- can identify women with fear of childbirth and has knowledge about care of women with fear of childbirth
