Description

The curriculum provides a framework for education in Industrial Management and Engineering. The learning objectives, the course objectives, content, methods and assessment criteria are described. The learning is based on the idea that the student first learns factual knowledge. This is then gradually built on, so that the student develops knowledge to apply, reflect, develop and evaluate during the study period with a view to decision-making in companies and other organizations.

The education inIndustrial Management and Engineering is a combination of technical and financial topics with a view to career opportunities in industry. The student studies courses in mathematics, technology, business economics, industrial marketing, customer analytics and technical sales, business analysis, production planning, logistics and new technologies. The entrepreneurial spirit is nurtured and highlights opportunities both as an employee and as an entrepreneur nationally and internationally.

Objective

Within the degree program, students learn the skills required to have versatile career opportunities both in the field of technology and economics.

During the education, students develop a professional way of understanding production technology and logistics in the mechanical industry and basic economic factors in business such as accounting, marketing and business development. Furthermore, the student gains an understanding of decision-making and leadership in organizations. Within the education, the student also develops an entrepreneurial mindset.

The student gains an understanding of sustainability issues, their importance and the challenges and opportunities a green transition entails.
