1. Style Analysis, Wardrobe Check-up and Dress Code. The assignment is a written assignment done in pairs. Deadline for submission: February 2025 via Moodle. Grade (0-5) and the pair receive the same grade. Feedback is given via Moodle.
2. Men´s Style Podcast. The assignment is an individual written reflection assignment. Deadline for submission:January- February 2025. Grade (0-5). Good activity/attendance can raise the grade.

Students work individually with their Thesis according to own scheduled plan. Students are expected to participate in group sessions and book individual guidance sessions for thesis process advancement.

1. Finished and presented Thesis. Students present thesis at the mandatory presentation seminar 24th November 2025. Deadline for submission for thesis final review is 7th November 2025. Individual feedback is given by supervisors at final thesis review.
2. Opposition and Opponent Story. Students have read and critically reviewed appointed thesis and oppose it at the mandatory presentation seminar. Students write an opponent story as essay for the appointed thesis, deadline: 24th November 2025. Feedback for opposition and opponent story is given in thesis assessment document.
3. Maturity Test. Students write the mandatory maturity test 25th November 2025 on own laptop.

Quantitative methods: the written assignment must be submitted within a month of the date of the end of the course.

Jaana´s part, 3 ECTS: Examination consists of submitted assignments, grade (0-5). Deadline in January 2026 and idea seminar 28 January 2026.
1. Idea Plan, 1 ECTS. Students present their own plan at idea seminar 28 January, deadline for submission of work plan: the week before, 21 January 2026. Individual feedback is given after the seminar. Note! This plan can be required to be compensated after idea seminar, before given a grade.
2. Opposition and Opponent Story, 1 ECTS. Students have read the appointed student's work plan, have written the opponent story and oppose the plan at the idea seminar, deadline: 28 January 2026. Grade and feedback are included in the opponent story's grade and feedback. Feedback and grade are given via Moodle.
3. Active participation in classes, 1 ECTS.

Instructions for the examinations are given by each teacher at the beginning of course part.

2. Individual project report about the fashion show (planning, realization and assessment), 2cr, deadline and seminar: Autumn 2025
3. Active participation in the project during in class teaching, through teamwork, own role and individual contribution, 2cr.
4. Mandatory seminar: Autumn 2025. Group feedback is given at the seminar.

Teaching methods

The course will be based on a study visit to Helsinki on either September 15 or 16. Participation in the visit is, of course, voluntary, but if you choose not to attend, you will be given compensatory assignments. Students are responsible for the cost of their own train ticket.

- The assessment for the course is based on:
- Planning
- An image portfolio from the study visits.
– Those who do not participate in the visits must create an image portfolio using borrowed images, as well as write an essay for each visit min 5000 word. It’s much more fun and easier to take part in the day in Helsinki.
