The student can express himself in a simple but coherent way and write reports in a simple but often unstructured way. There are spelling mistakes and weaknesses in basic structures of a written text. The student manages to present orally but the presentation may be difficult for foreigners to understand. Limited ability to express oneself fluently in speech, the student pauses to find suitable expressions or uses words in his native language. Has problems in finding synonyms and a suitable style.

Grade 3
The student can write coherent, analytical and structured texts including his own opinions and arguments and can draw conclusions of information from different sources. Breach of style, spelling mistakes and other small mistakes exist but the student has a good command of the basic structures and can use difficult structures correctly. Oral presentations are of a routine nature but structured.

The student writes almost flawless English and expresses himself fluently and professionally in both speech and writing. The student writes well-structured, analytical texts with well-grounded conclusions about more demanding topics and manages to pinpoint the most important in a text and provide examples. The student can express himself orally within a wide variety of topics spontaneously and rarely needs to look for the right expression. A versatile vocabulary.

The hackathon begins at 11 am on October 3rd and ends by 4 pm October 4th. The hackathon requires physical presence in Turku.

Some prereading will be provided by the assigner.
Teaching methods
A 2-day hackathon in blended groups with students from the business as well as the health and welfare program, both local and exchange students. The assignment is related to diversity, equity and inclusion work in companies and how it can be further enhanced through leadership. The students will use different collaborative methods during the days and in the end pitch their solutions to a jury.

The assignment is provided by an external party, deidei.co.
Exam schedules
In addition to the event, the students are required to write a reflection paper afterwards of appr. 3-4 pages, describing their learnings from the event.
International connections
The hackathon involves collaboration with students from different countries. The jurors also represent different nationalities.

Course Part Logistics and ERP (3 ECTS)
By performing weekly project works and by participating in feedback sessions (with discussion) or self-development activities and excursion or guest lecture you collect points that lead to the final grade.
The first return box closes automatically the evening before the week's lecture. The report submitted here is assessed and scored within one week. The second submission box will remain open until the course starts again next year (if you have no grade by then you start again from zero points). These "late" submissions are graded within one month.

Course Part ERP-systems exercise work (2 ECTS)
During the course, you will also do a ERP-systems excercise work that corresponds to 2 credits of the course's 5 credits. In an EPR program you will first familiarize yourself with how to work in ERP systems and then solve a number of given problems, that emerge on a daily basis in a company. After approved submission you will receive the grade 1-5 in the course part ERP-systems
Student workload
The student is expected to spend a total of 10 hours of work per week on the course in order to reach the European goals of 25-30 hours of work per credits obtained. 3 hours of local education (or equivalent amount of time spent on studying online material and doing self-development activities) and 7 hours of work on own time.

Teaching methods
A combination of lectures, workshops and trainings during which the student gets the opportunity to practice sales skills and management. Lectures will cover theories regarding Sales Skills, Sales Management, Sales Processes and MEDDPICC.
During workshops and trainings the idea is to learn how to plan and execute sales activities by identifying pains and opportunities among customers for the creation of a value proposition.
Understanding customers’ decision making processes, and with that, managing different sales situations, such as cold calling, objection handling and deal negotiations. Setting and managing targets and metrics for the sales team.
Workshops will include preparations and role play for sales execution in real-life via an assignment from the client, Byrån. Primary focus will be in B2B sales.

The subjects covered on the course cover organizational behaviour and the concept of leadership in different contexts and forms of organizations, such as team leading, strategic leadership, human resource management and leading as an individual process.
The course introduces a broad range of leadership theories and how they are applied to organizations today.
